A Journey to See the World, One Job at a Time

By Simon M Skinner

Have you ever found yourself sitting at your desk daydreaming about what the rest of the world is like? Have you ever woken up, ready to go to your dull, boring job and wondering what else is out there wondering, "what am I doing here?" I know I have.

These thoughts only happen every so often that they started coming more and more frequently, until I knew I had to do something about it.

I kept wondering how I could see more of the world and get out of a job that I hated. The answer to that turned out to be simple. I was going to start looking for jobs abroad. Since I wanted to go somewhere tropical, I was going to look specifically for jobs in the Caribbean.

I started doing research online, I realised that I would have to educate myself a great deal in order to find the right job in the right place. For instance, which island I want to work on in the Caribbean? What kind of job that I want to do? Where was I going to live? And what I need to do to get my Visa? These were just some of the questions that I needed to answer myself.

After a while, I started to realize that I wasn't making the progress that I had hoped for. I must have gone to a million web sites trying to find out all of the information I was looking for. At any given time, I would have a handful of sites pulled up on my computer, trying to go back and forth and write everything down

I would start off on the jobsite looking at overseas vacancies and jobs in the Caribbean, and then I would go to another website in order to find out the visa requirements are that particular island and then I would go to another website, which would give me information about life in general on that particular island.

It was too much. I spent more time trying to remember all the sites that I had visited than I did trying to find those Caribbean jobs. Just when I thought that my level of frustration had reached the nuclear range, I came across my saving grace. I found jobinthesun.com. This site has everything! It has tons of listing for jobs in the Caribbean, in every category you can think of (hotels, administrative, construction, etc).

Jobinthesun.com has all the information that you need in order to find an overseas job and to live abroad. They have information about currency exchange getting a work visa and even a user forum, which has a wealth of information for those people looking to find perfect job abroad.
