Travel on Glasgow Flights

You can travel to and from Glasgow on any of the available Glasgow flights. Glasgow has two airports, the Glasgow International Airport (GLA) and Glasgow Prestwick Airport (PIK) that offer Glasgow flights. Glasgow Prestwick airport does offer more discount fares but it is further from Glasgow city center, 30 miles, than Glasgow International, 10 miles.

There are many domestic flights that depart from Glasgow International to most cities in the UK. Easyjet, BMI/BMI Baby, Flybe, Loganair and British Airways all fly from Glasgow International. Glasgow International is the main access point for those wishing to fly to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Glasgow Prestwick does offer domestic flights, though not as many as from Glasgow International and you can find some great discount deals from Glasgow Prestwick.

Airlines also fly to many European cities from Glasgow. There are regular flight to Poland, Amsterdam, and Berlin and all for very affordable prices. You can fly Ryanair and depart from Glasgow Prestwick for low prices to most major European cities.

There are a few flights that offer travel to Ireland. There is one route offered from Air Lingus that flies to Dublin. Ryan air offers many flights to various areas of Ireland departing from Glasgow Prestwick. Easyjet and Flybe offer flights to Belfast. There are also regular flights to Londonderry from Glasgow International flown by Loganair airlines.

There are many long-haul destinations that leave from Glasgow International or that have a stop over/connection in Glasgow. There are many North American city destinations that have direct flights; Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, Boston, New York and daily flights to Orlando, Florida. You can also find direct flights to Dubai, Lahore and other Asian cities.

There are many charter services at Glasgow that fly to domestic as well as Long-haul destinations. You can reach the Caribbean, Mexico and North Africa from Glasgow. You can reach any destination in the world from either of the Glasgow airports.
