Rediscovering the Real You

So many times as women, we define ourselves by all of our different roles in life, that we almost have no definition at all if those roles were to disappear. There is nothing wrong with taking pride in the different roles that we play and in our importance in other people's lives.

But, these roles do not define who we are. The roles change, and this usually thrusts us down a new road.

Waiting until some life changing event forces itself up on you is not the most opportune time to learn about yourself. Making an effort to know yourself along the way will enhance your life as well as the lives you touch.

It is natural for wives and mothers to put themselves last, we have so many others that come before us. This can be a root of our low self worth issues. Believe in yourself, and see yourself as others do. This will make your life more worth while, as other's lives that you reach.

The most simple concept is that if you value yourself, you will value your marriage. Let your true self out, and relish in your gifts, and you will grow in all areas of your life, including your marriage.
