At some point or the other, all of us have felt exasperated by the number of marketing emails that flood our mailboxes everyday. Each of these emails is trying to sell something or the other and eventually finds its way to the trash box. Most of us think that unwanted emails are SPAMs and do not really care what the actual definition of SPAM is. I am not trying to demoralize you. These are just plain facts. The only way to avoid being treated as a spammer is to send emails to recipients who have already authorized you to send them emails. I am talking about opt-in email marketing here.

Whereas, if you choose to create your own opt in list, all you need to do is to set aside a reasonable budget for search engine optimization of your website and create interesting newsletters periodically.

The easiest way to create an opt in list is to get the visitors on your website sign up for receiving emails on promotional offers and newsletters. When visitors make purchases on your website you can always ask them if they would like to receive emails in future regarding promotional offers. You would be surprised to see how many of them actually say yes.

So in this way the list will grow bigger and bigger daily. At the same time if buy an email list from a lead generation company; you must keep sending mails to the same list until you are updates with the new list of email addresses.

Position your emails smartly in order to optimize your opt-in list. Make it a point not to overload your newsletters with promotional content. Your focus should be on creating a good brand identity for your product as it pays off in the long run. Unless you are a branding expert, it'd be better to consult one. The content of your promotional emails should be well designed keeping the branding strategy in mind.

But still if you opt to send any promotional offers make sure that your content good. The ultimate thing that matters here is regarding the trust you build among people by offering genuine product and service. By being authentic you are making yourself reach the goal. There are many companies which have been successful in this field by earning the reliability among people. So it's better to have some knowledge about email marketing campaign if you really want to emerge as a winner in your online business.
